Whalley Golf Club Captains vs President’s 2024
On a decidedly damp, drizzly day, 32 members (well, 31 in fact!) gathered to take part in a 4BBB Matchplay event, marking the revival of this much-anticipated competition. Despite the less-than-ideal weather, spirits remained high, and the matches were keenly contested, with all players putting in their best efforts.
Following the intense play, there was a lively and boisterous gathering in the clubhouse, where everyone eagerly awaited the final results while enjoying well-deserved refreshments.
Unfortunately, the Men’s Captain was unable to attend, but the Lady Captain; Jenny Stewart, and the President; Joan Whittaker, took great pride in celebrating an honourable draw, rounding off what had been a thoroughly enjoyable day of competitive golf.
