The finest 9 hole golf course in Lancashire

Balcony Appeal

The Captain and Lady Captain are leading a campaign to raise funds for a new balcony, at this point a staggering £17,600 has been raised through events.

The first event was the Auction of Promises night on Friday 28th April, organised by Bridget Rees, which raised an incredible £6,700 in total with some donations given to Derian House.

The next event was the Corporate Golf Day on Friday 12th May, which saw 10 teams of 4 enjoy a fabulous afternoon of golf and a superb 3 course meal. This event raised £3,600 which considering there were, by its nature, only 40 involved was a phenomenal result.

Our latest event was the Summer Festival on Sunday 4th June and did the sun shine on us! Our summer festival was a great success and was attended by almost two hundred members,  families and friends, half of whom took part in the walk.  Steve Farnsworth and his band got feet tapping and hands clapping, and our own answer to The Supremes – The Swingettes  – really got the party going. A big thank you to those members who worked so hard to make the event successful. The bar, BBQ, marquees, and entertainment gave the event a professional feel and the event raised £2,168 towards the Balcony Fund.. A great day for all!

Thank you for your support of the fundraising events.

Future events:
